Between Fira and Imerovigli, one of the spots with the best view on SANTORINI island. Even if officially considerated as a distinct village, Firostefani is the continuation of Fira. A quiet village, which is mostly constituated of hotels, traditional houses, villas, studios and rooms. The area proposes just a couple of restaurants and cafe but Fira, where all the activities are concentrated can be reached on foo. The name means 'crown of Fira' and it is said to have the best views on SANTORINI island though the claim is moot since all the villages that sit along the north eastern rim will claim the same and one sunset view is pretty much as good as any other. Firostefani is a very attractive jumble of whitewashed houses tumbling down the side of the caldera with astonishing views of the volcano and out to the Aegean Sea. Firostefani enjoys memorable sunset views.It offera a nice midway spot between busy Fira town and the quiet and amazingly located village of Imerovigli which is said to have the best views in Santorini and is just a 15-minute walk.
Still, Firastefani village is marginally less busy than its noisy neighbours and slightly less expensive, although its in now almost entirely composed of hotels, pools, villas and apartments with a few restaurants and cafes perched precariously along the cliff top.
